The J&K government has approved the creation of 1612 new posts across various categories for two new government medical colleges in Handwara Kupwara and Udhampur. The Principal Secretary to Government (Health and Medical Education), Navin Kumar Chaudhary, granted sanction for the creation of these posts, as per the Administrative Council decision taken on 2nd May 2022.
