A student of KKM College, Jamui, Dilip Kumar Shah, has been given 555 marks out of total 100 marks, making his overall score 108.5%. On the other hand, Sandhya Kumari, a student of Women’s College, Barhiya, failed in the final result even after passing in all her subjects.

All these errors came after having the signatures of both the marker and the checker, meaning that the result was checked twice, raising serious doubts about the functioning of the Exam Department.

UNIVERSITY TAKES RESPONSIBILITY

The Controller of Examinations, Munger University, Dr. Ramashish Purve, admitted to the mistakes and said that all the papers would be checked again and the revised result would be declared only after the completion of the investigation.

He added that all students who seek a rechecking in their results should submit an application to their college principals by May 10. Necessary instructions about the same have been given to all the colleges.

Taking responsibility, Purve accepted his mistake and said that due to the pressure of declaring results on time, mistakes were made. They will now rectify these mistakes and work towards not repeating them.
