KU is set to transition to e-office starting January 1, 2023; says VC e-office capabilities will result in greater efficiency and speed in the administration system, particularly with regard to the delivery of services to employees and other parties.

Srinagar: Vice-Chancellor (VC), University of Kashmir Prof Nilofer Khan, on Wednesday, supervised the rollout of the e-office app as a component of the university’s Administrative Management System, from January 1st 2023.

Khan gave the directions at a review of the in-house e-office software developed with the help of the Directorate of Information Technology and Support System (IT&SS) within the university the spokesperson for the varsity stated.

The VC said that the technological changes will improve transparency and efficiency in the system. The VC instructed the imparting of the necessary education to all the officials involved to ensure that the electronic office is implemented in a timely method within the timeline set starting with the most important offices.

The e-office software module is part of the Administrative Management System (AMS) designed by the university and it also includes administrative services such as budget, leave and property return as well as other services, and the rollout will cause the university to move entirely to online mode to manage its operations.

The meeting was facilitated by the Vice-Chancellor who was able to review the different elements of the electronic office to allow any modifications needed to allow for its launch early.

KU the Registrar Dr. Nisar A. Mir has said the application’s e-office capabilities will result in greater efficiency and speed in the administration system, particularly with regard to the delivery of services to employees and other parties.

It was also attended by the Controller of Examinations Dr. Majid Zaman, as well as the officers of the Registry who shared their valuable feedback on the roll-out of the e-office.
