Srinagar, July 02(GNS): An army trooper was injured after firing resumed Friday morning at Rajpora area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Official sources told GNS that due to darkness operation was halted yesterday and started this morning. During the intial exhcange of firing today morning one army trooper received bullet wound. He was immediately shifted to 92 Base Hospital for treatment, they said.
Earlier reports reaching GNS that a joint team of Police and army’s 44RR launched a cordon and search operation in the area.
As the joint team approached the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them, triggering off the gunfight. (GNS)
